Father Daughter Dance 2015 in Knoxville

I always love going to the Father Daughter Dance at Cokesbury UMC every year. It is such a blessing seeing the fathers take their daughters out on a date, being the example of what she deserves in the future.

This was our fourth year of being a part of the wonderful event. The girls walked in on a “white carpet” strewn with rose petals, then they got a professional photo taken with their father by Jamie Weiss Photography. Jamie has been doing their photos for a few years as well and has always been a pleasure to work with.

The girls kept their fathers on the dance floor most of the evening. If they weren’t on the dance floor, they were taking a break in the “Valentine Room”.

The church had a Sunday School class organize the event and they did a great job with the “Valentine Room” where the girls could get a beverage, a snack and make valentines.

From line dances, to slow dances, everyone seemed to have had a fabulous time. We played music from several eras, per request. There were some fathers teaching their daughters how to swing dance and several other types of dances.

Ron truly has a passion for this event every year. He has so much fun interacting with the families and watching this event grow every year.

We feel so blessed that we have been able to watch the father daughter dance grow to a new record this year of approximately seven hundred fathers and daughters attending! Thank you so much for hiring us for the last four years Cokesbury UMC!
