From the ceremony prelude, seating music, processional, first dance to the last dance. Figuring out the right songs for your wedding celebration can be a challenge. If you’re not sure where to start, start with your DJ. When hiring the right DJ for you, first, make sure he or she is a professional. They will be able to focus on your wedding music. They will pay attention to your “Do Not Play” and “Must Play” lists. And be able to give you suggestions for your special moments.

Choosing your wedding music can make your night magical

For ceremony seating music, we have found that the Piano Guys, Vitamin String Quartet, and other great instrumental or even soft love songs will help put your guests in the mood for your ceremony.

The Processional:

The processional is completely about you and the love you have for your fiancé. The most popular song from 2018 was “A Thousand Years” by Christina Perry. Whether the original version, the Piano Guys version or another instrumental version. My favorite version from a wedding we did is the cover by Peter and Evynne Hollins with Lindsey Stirling. Another suggestion we have done was “Cannon in D” by Pachelbel, cover by Pachelbel String Quartet or Piano Guys. You could also choose a song that is personal to you.

The Recessional:

The recessional is about the celebration of you finally getting married! Whether you want to go old school with “Signed, Sealed, Delivered” by Stevie Wonder or “You Make My Dreams Come True” by Daryl Hall and John Oates. You could also go with something newer such as “Best Day of My Life” by the American Authors, or “I Do” by Colbie Caillat. All these recessional songs were popular in 2018.

Introductions:

To lead you in to the reception, you need a great party style introduction song! Something like “Get it Started” by Black Eyed Peas, “Can’t Stop This Feeling” by Justin Timberlake, “24K Magic” by Bruno Mars, “Get The Party Started” by P!NK; or even something to go along with the theme of your wedding. Whatever fits your personality and sets up for a party to celebrate you.

Your First Dance:

What to do about your first dance as a married couple? The most popular songs that we played were “Perfect” by Ed Sheeran, “Can’t Help Falling in Love” By Elvis (we have played the original as well as covers of this song for the first dance), “Amazed” by Lonestar, or “All of Me” by John Legend.

The End of the Evening:

To end the evening with your last dance would be another song that would highlight you and your love for each other. For the exit, go out with some fun, such as “The Time” by Black Eyed Peas, “Closing Time” by Semisonic, “Bye, Bye, Bye” by INSYNC, help your guests go home feeling like the party never ended.

Whatever wedding music you choose will set the tone for your day. Work with your DJ to plan your celebration! He or she can help you with suggestions whenever needed. Don’t forget, you will remember the ceremony; your guests will remember your celebration!
