The Smoky Mountain Wedding Association recently featured Smokey Mountain Sounds and we are pleased to share that article here. Along with professional DJ service, we provide a thoughtfully curated suite of amenities for local events including weddings, proms, private events, and parties of any kind. We also host karaoke, trivia, and music bingo at area businesses in Sevier, Blount, Knox, Jefferson, and other East Tennessee counties.

Planning your Playlist: DJ in the Smoky Mountains
We utilize a music planning app so our clients can effortlessly plan the music for their events. Ron can communicate with his clients via the app so they can work together in planning the playlist. Our goal is to enhance your event with the perfect music, and this app has been a helpful tool for achieving our goal. Since we adopted this app, our clients have given us great feedback for it. We’re sure you will love planning your event with this app too!
Customized Event Lighting
We are your DJ in the Smoky Mountains, and we also offer lighting effects to elevate your event. Specialized lighting can make your event shine, no pun intended. We also offer a GOBO, which is a projector that shines an image or logo onto a surface such as a wall, floor, or ceiling. Learn more about our lighting services here.
Master of Ceremony Duties
Ron Crivellone embodies the definition of “master of ceremonies”. As owner and operator of Smokey Mountain Sounds, he provides entertainment while hosting your event with true Southern hospitality. As the master of ceremonies, Ron sets the tone for the event, which is especially important for a wedding reception. He pays attention to the mood of the room and ensures that the vibe is upbeat and celebratory.
He also keeps the schedule flowing so that the important moments are never rushed or forgotten; rather, Ron makes sure that each highlight happens on time. This means that your special moments have time to play out as you wish instead of feeling hurried along. A proper flow in a wedding reception’s timeline, or any type of event, allows the guests time to relax and enjoy the ambiance. We can best describe the master of ceremonies as the person who leads the event’s flow by directing the audience but doing so in a way where they feel inspired and led. A master of ceremonies should never bark orders; this makes your guests feel like they’re being commanded.
This is not an easy task although Ron’s personality and professionalism allow him to achieve this style of leadership. Ron enjoys all aspects of hosting an event. An experienced DJ plays appropriate music, informs and leads with directional cues, and helps the event organizers by making announcements and keeping schedules. This is the leadership that Ron provides to each of his clients.
Regarding weddings, Ron is pleased to work in tandem with your planner and coordinator. Ron has taken wedding coordinator classes, and he is glad to step in to fulfill those duties if you don’t have a dedicated coordinator. A wedding reception has a lot happening in the background. Photo Booth
One of our most fun services is our ring roamer, which is a photo-booth-inspired station where guests can snap photos with customized backdrops. The ring roamer is small enough to fit into any event’s space, although it makes a big impact! You’ll enjoy having fun and candid snapshots of your guests.
The Latest Technology
We use the latest technology to give our clients the very best experience. A wireless mic allows event organizers and guests to make speeches and announcements from anywhere in the room. Ron is generally the one who uses the microphone, but being able to pass the mic around the room is especially helpful during large meetings, for speeches at a wedding reception, or at any event when someone needs to make an announcement.
Ron Crivellone – Wedding Officiant
Along with being your DJ in the Smoky Mountains, Ron is an ordained non-denominational minister who has performed over 500 wedding ceremonies in the Smoky Mountains. There are no cookie-cutter ceremonies with Ron; he customizes the ceremony especially for the couple.
